Senior Software Developer (Full Stack, Lead) Full Time

Lanquez is the Cairo operations hub for a fast growing UK direct to consumer dental and cosmetic brand. Alongside our customer and design teams in New Cairo, we run a full software stack that powers the business end to end, from internal operations tools to customer facing apps. We build our own software rather than relying on off the shelf systems, and we move quickly.

About the role

This is a senior, hands on role for a developer ready to take ownership of our entire software platform. To date the stack has been built and maintained by our founder, and we are now hiring the person who will take the reins, maintain it, improve it and drive it forward.

You will own a suite of production web applications already in daily use across the business: an operations and dispatch system, a lab case management platform, and an appointments and point of sale system. You will also lead the development of our customer facing mobile apps for iOS and Android.

We build heavily with AI assisted development tools, and you will be expected to work the same way, so genuine comfort and skill with these tools matters to us. Everything we build is in English, for an English speaking market and team, so strong English is essential.

This is a genuine ownership role with real responsibility from day one, working directly with UK leadership. It will grow over time as the business and the platform expand, so we are looking for someone who wants to build, take initiative and grow with us.

Job Description

• Take ownership of our existing production web applications: maintain them, fix issues and keep them reliable
• Design and build new features end to end, across the frontend, database and serverless backend
• Lead development of our customer facing iOS and Android apps and manage releases to the App Store and Google Play
• Build and maintain database schemas, serverless functions and integrations
• Integrate third party services including payments, courier and shipping, helpdesk and e-commerce platforms
• Own deployments, releases and overall system reliability
• Make sensible architecture decisions and keep the codebase clean and maintainable
• Work directly and proactively with UK leadership to turn business needs into working software

Nice to have

• Experience with serverless or edge functions
• 3D rendering in the browser, for example Three.js
• Experience building internal business tools from scratch
