Warm Greetings to you, Im Dr.Arulazhagan Pugazhendi interested in the full-time faculty position in Environmental Sciences and Sustainability at the American University of Sharjah. With a Masters degree and PhD in Environmental Sciences and extensive experience across academic, industrial and governmental sectors, I have developed strong expertise in environmental sustainability, environmental microbiology, industrial environmental management and applied environmental research. My background includes teaching, research supervision, laboratory management, environmental monitoring and sustainability implementation, which aligns well with the university’s expectations for excellence in teaching, research and service.

My research and professional experience closely match the department’s focus areas, including environmental sustainability, environmental informatics, environmental genomics and environmental modelling. I have actively worked on environmental compliance, waste management, environmental risk assessment, industrial sustainability systems and advanced laboratory research while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and regulatory organizations. I am committed to developing impactful research initiatives, mentoring students and contributing to innovative academic programs that integrate scientific research with practical environmental solutions.
