Job Description
We are seeking an experienced and commercially focused Contracts Manager to join our Transportation Business Line based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, supporting the delivery of major infrastructure and railway projects across the Kingdom and wider region.
The successful candidate will play a key role in the commercial and contractual management of large-scale transport infrastructure programmes, while also supporting the regional business on other transportation and infrastructure projects as required.
This role requires strong contract administration, commercial management, reporting, and stakeholder coordination skills within major infrastructure, rail, transport, or engineering consultancy environments.
Key Responsibilities
• Manage the contractual and commercial administration of major infrastructure and transportation projects.
• Prepare, manage, and review payment applications, invoices, and commercial submissions in accordance with contractual requirements.
• Support project commercial reporting, cost tracking, forecasting, and management reporting activities.
• Draft, review, and negotiate contractual correspondence, notices, variations, and commercial submissions.
• Administer consultancy agreements, subcontract agreements, and client contracts in accordance with project requirements.
• Support the management of variations, claims, extensions of time, and contractual change processes.
• Review contractual obligations and identify commercial and contractual risks and opportunities.
• Liaise with project teams, clients, subcontractors, and legal/commercial stakeholders on contractual matters.
• Support procurement and tendering activities, including review of RFPs, tender qualifications, and contract terms.
• Maintain contract registers, commercial records, trackers, and project correspondence.
• Prepare and present commercial and contractual reports to senior management and project stakeholders.
• Provide contractual and commercial support across other regional transportation and infrastructure projects as required.
• Ensure compliance with company governance procedures and contractual policies.
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management, Law, Engineering, or related discipline.
• Minimum 5–10 years’ experience in contracts/commercial management within infrastructure, transportation, rail, or engineering consultancy sectors.
• Strong understanding of consultancy agreements and major forms of contract (FIDIC experience preferred).
• Experience managing payment applications, variations, claims, EOTs, and commercial negotiations on large-scale projects.
• Excellent drafting and contractual correspondence skills.
• Strong commercial awareness and ability to manage multiple stakeholders.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including commercial trackers, reporting, and data management.
• Strong reporting and analytical skills with the ability to present clear commercial updates to management.
• Experience working in the Middle East region is preferred.
• Ability to work independently and support multiple projects simultaneously.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
