Job Description
We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Structural Technical Office Engineer to join our team for a site-based role. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing all structural technical office activities, ensuring the accurate execution of structural drawings, reviewing technical submittals, coordinating with site teams, and maintaining compliance with project specifications and timelines.
Key Responsibilities
- Review and coordinate structural shop drawings, IFC drawings, and as-built drawings.
- Prepare and review RFIs, technical submittals, method statements, and material approvals.
- Coordinate with consultants, contractors, subcontractors, and site teams to resolve technical issues.
- Monitor structural work progress and ensure compliance with project specifications and standards.
- Review quantities, variation orders, and structural claims when required.
- Ensure proper coordination between structural, architectural, and MEP disciplines.
- Follow up on project schedules and technical deliverables to ensure timely completion.
- Provide technical support to the site construction team and solve engineering problems.
- Review and interpret structural design drawings and specifications.
- Ensure all technical documentation is maintained and updated properly.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering, or a related field.
- 10+ years of experience in structural technical office/site engineering.
- Strong experience in large-scale construction projects.
- Excellent knowledge of structural shop drawings, quantities, and technical coordination.
- Strong understanding of construction codes, standards, and specifications.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, Civil 3D, and Microsoft Office.
- Strong communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a site-based environment.
