Role Description

In this full-time, on-site role based in Abu Dhabi, The Transport Supervisor oversees daily transportation operations, ensuring efficient planning, smooth execution, and compliance with all port, road, and safety regulations. This role requires strong leadership, operational control, and the ability to manage drivers, transport partners, and time‑critical shipments.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and manage daily transport operations, including truck allocation, routing, dispatching, and delivery follow‑up.
• Coordinate with drivers, transporters, and operations teams to ensure on‑time loading, delivery, and return of equipment.
• Monitor shipment progress and resolve operational issues such as delays, breakdowns, detention, or documentation problems.
• Coordinate with ports, depots, and authorities to ensure smooth cargo movement.
• Review and verify transport documentation, including delivery notes, port documents, gate passes, and other requirements.
• Ensure compliance with UAE road permits, port regulations, and company policies.
• Optimize fleet utilization to reduce empty runs, avoid delays, and control operational costs.
• Manage driver performance, including attendance, discipline, trip planning, and adherence to schedules.
• Handle customer communication, providing timely updates and resolving issues professionally.
• Monitor and approve extra charges, ensuring they are justified and aligned with agreed terms.
• Maintain accurate operational records, including trip logs, fuel usage, delivery times, and equipment status.
• Coordinate container returns, ensuring empty units are delivered to the correct depot or port without delay.
• Support management with operational reports, performance analysis, and improvement recommendations.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in transport supervision, logistics, or freight operations.
• Strong knowledge of UAE port procedures, road permits and routs
• Ability to lead team of drivers and manage multiple shipments under pressure.
• Excellent communication, problem‑solving, and decision‑making skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office ( Word, Excel & Outlook )
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work extended or flexible hours based on operational needs.
• Strong knowledge of ports web platforms ( ATLP & Dubai Trade )
• English & Hindi/Urdu: Fluent – required for daily communication with clients, drivers, and authorities.
• UAE driving license.
