Freelance Digital Engagement Specialist

We’re looking for an Associate Junior Digital Engagement Specialist to help manage our social media channels, create and amplify engaging content and support audience growth across key platforms. Recent graduates are strongly encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities:

• Manage day-to-day social media publishing and community engagement
• Create/adapt content into platform-relevant, shareable formats
• Help maintain a weekly content calendar with the wider team.
• Monitor performance and report on analytics and impact
• Identify new platforms and influencer partners; support relationship management
• Spot timely opportunities by staying on top of news and trends
• Use AI tools to support ideation, drafting, editing, and workflow efficiency
• Support other tasks as needed.

Qualifications:

• Early-career experience (0–2 years) in social media/content/digital comms (internships welcome)
• Strong writing and attention to detail; confident adapting tone per platform
• A passion for storytelling
• Fluent in Arabic. Knowledge of English, Kurdish or an additional language is a plus.
• Comfortable with basic analytics and learning what performs
• Organised, proactive, and collaborative
• Interest in current affairs and digital culture
• Strong interest in AI and emerging digital tools, with confidence experimenting responsibly to improve content quality and efficiency
• A knowledge of Creative Suite is a plus but not essential
