Position Overview
Lead Counselors is seeking a highly strategic and dynamic Public Relations & Strategic Communications Manager to lead the firm’s reputation, media presence, institutional relations, and authority-building initiatives in Iraq and internationally.
This role will directly support the Managing Partner in positioning Lead Counselors as:
• A leading litigation and corporate law firm in Iraq
• A trusted legal partner for international investors
• Iraq’s first AI-powered law firm
Key Responsibilities
1. Strategic PR & Brand Positioning
• Develop and implement annual PR strategy aligned with firm growth objectives
• Position Lead Counselors as a top-tier law firm in Iraq
• Promote the firm’s AI-driven legal innovation initiatives
• Ensure consistent brand messaging across all platforms
2. Media & Public Engagement
• Draft and distribute press releases
• Build relationships with journalists and business media
• Arrange interviews and public speaking opportunities
• Monitor media coverage and manage public perception
3. Content & Authority Development
• Coordinate weekly LinkedIn content strategy
• Oversee website “Insights” publications (SEO-oriented)
• Develop case studies and success stories (confidentiality compliant)
• Prepare executive speeches and presentations
• Manage bilingual/trilingual communication (English, Arabic, Kurdish)
4. Institutional & Business Relations
• Strengthen relationships with Chambers of Commerce and trade associations
• Support participation in conferences, exhibitions, and business forums
• Coordinate external partnerships and strategic collaborations
5. Crisis Communication & Risk Management
• Develop communication protocols for sensitive matters
• Advise leadership on high-risk communication situations
• Protect firm’s reputation in politically or commercially sensitive cases
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Business, or related field
• 3–7 years experience in PR.
• Excellent English (mandatory)
• Strong Arabic (required)
• Kurdish (Required)
• Strong writing and strategic thinking skills
• Experience managing digital presence
