Senior Game Environment Concept Artist Full Time NEW

We are a start-up game studio hiring for multiple unannounced projects. Project details will be shared with shortlisted candidates under NDA. We are looking for an Environment Concept Artist who thinks spatially and understands how a space communicates mood, function, and atmosphere.

What you’ll do

• Design interior and exterior game environments across multiple visual styles and upgrade states
• Develop a prop and object library that communicates both form and gameplay function clearly
• Create visual tone guides for how spaces shift in atmosphere across different gameplay states
• Produce layouts optimized for isometric top-down readability
• Establish consistent material and lighting language across environment assets
• Collaborate with the 3D environment artist to ensure smooth concept-to-asset handoff

What we’re looking for

• 3+ years of environment concept art for games or animation
• Strong portfolio of interior and/or exterior spaces with clear mood and atmosphere
• Experience designing for top-down or isometric perspectives
• Understanding of prop design and how objects communicate function visually
• Ability to work within established visual direction and iterate quickly
• Bonus: interest in non-Western architectural and interior design traditions
• Bonus: experience on social simulation, management, or casual games
