JOB SUMMARY:
Project Engineer responsible for execution, installation, maintenance, testing, and troubleshooting of Fire Fighting Systems, with strong expertise in fire pumps, electric motors, diesel engines, pump controllers, and related firefighting components. The role includes site coordination, technical support, periodic maintenance, testing, and ensuring compliance with project specifications and safety standards.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Execute installation, testing, commissioning, and maintenance activities for Fire Fighting Systems.
Handle installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of fire pumps, electric motors, diesel engines, and pump controllers.
Perform controller wiring works including Star Delta wiring and control panel troubleshooting.
Conduct pump alignment, periodic maintenance, servicing, and performance testing of fire pumps.
Carry out minor servicing and maintenance of diesel engines and electric motors.
Inspect and troubleshoot firefighting system components, valves, and fittings.
Coordinate with site teams, subcontractors, consultants, and clients for smooth project execution.
Ensure project activities are completed as per approved drawings, specifications, and safety standards.
Prepare maintenance reports, inspection records, and testing documentation.
Attend technical meetings and provide engineering support during project execution.
Ensure compliance with NFPA, local authority regulations, and company quality procedures.
TECHNICAL SKILLS:
Sound knowledge of Fire Fighting Systems and Fire Pump installations.
Strong understanding of Electric Motors, Diesel Engines, and Pump Controllers.
Knowledge of controller troubleshooting and Star Delta wiring.
Expertise in pump alignment, periodic maintenance, and performance testing.
Familiarity with firefighting valves, fittings, and system components.
Ability to read technical drawings, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor’s Degree / Diploma in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
Minimum 3–5 years of experience in Fire Fighting Systems projects and maintenance.
UAE/GCC experience preferred.
Knowledge of NFPA standards and firefighting regulations preferred.
