Everbridge, a leading financial technology company based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, is seeking a Risk & Compliance Officer to safeguard the company’s regulatory standing and underwriting integrity.
This role is central to Everbridge’s ability to scale responsibly with buyers, vendors, and our partner bank. The successful candidate will oversee the company’s risk management and compliance programs, ensuring every transaction meets SAMA requirements, Shariah governance standards, AML/CFT obligations, and internal credit policy. They will implement policies that mitigate potential risks, maintain adherence to regulatory standards, and play a vital part in preserving the company’s integrity and operational stability — contributing to a secure, compliant, and trusted business environment.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Law, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field; Master’s degree or professional certification (CAMS, ICA, CRCM) preferred.
3+ years of experience in risk management and compliance roles within a bank, fintech, or financial services firm in the GCC.
Strong understanding of regulatory frameworks and industry standards, including working knowledge of SAMA regulations, AML/CFT framework, and Shariah-compliant finance structures (particularly Commodity Murabaha).
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate regulation into workable operational processes.
Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.
Fluent written and spoken Arabic and English.
Roles And Responsibilities
Develop, maintain, and continuously improve the enterprise risk management and compliance framework, including policies and procedures.
Oversee KYC, KYB, AML, CFT, and sanctions screening across buyers, vendors, and counterparties.
Monitor compliance with internal policies and regulatory developments from SAMA, ZATCA, and the Shariah Board, translating requirements into operational controls.
Conduct risk assessments and audits on new buyer onboardings, vendor cohorts, product structures, and internal processes to identify vulnerabilities.
Coordinate with the partner bank’s compliance function on transaction-level reviews and escalations.
Provide training and guidance to staff on compliance matters and emerging regulatory obligations.
Prepare and present periodic risk and compliance reports for executive management and the board.
