Job Summary

The Corporate IT Director is responsible for managing the deployment of the technology infrastructure., including networks and business applications, in line with the needs of the organization, ensuring optimal system availability and performance.

Tasks & Responsibilities

• Develop the department’s strategy, goals, initiatives, and plans, whilst providing advice, guidance, and direction to subordinates during the execution of major plans and initiatives
• Lead the operations of the department, participate in establishing a clear direction for others, and champion alignment and collaboration amongst them and any other key stakeholders
• Develop the department’s annual budget, including all financial and staff requirements and monitor / control budget expenditure accordingly
• Monitor the short- and long-term operations of the division, driving operational improvement initiatives based on identified operational performance and GAPs
• Develop and maintain the department’s guidelines, policies and processes and champion their implementation across, where applicable
• Lead, develop, and motivate the department’s employees, and champion the company’s culture, values, and behaviors across the department

IT Strategy & Governance

• Manage the design and implementation of information security controls and solutions to protect and secure company information systems against intentional and unintentional information leakage, theft, loss and corruption
• Manage the design and implementation network security controls and solutions to protect and secure the network active components against external and internal penetration and attacks
• Oversee assessment and testing of vulnerabilities via conducting penetration and attack tests on LAN/WAN and wireless networks
• Review and validate user access rights at the network, operating system, database, and application layers
• Review business impact analyses and risk assessments to identify probable disruptions (accidents, disasters, emergencies, and/or threats), and define the impact of these disruptions on business-critical IT functions
• Manage disaster recovery / business continuity plans that address the safeguarding of IT assets, disaster recovery, and continuity of operations during and after any disruptions

IT Infrastructure

• Lead the design, implementation, and management of the IT network infrastructure active components
• Lead the analysis of incidents, diagnosis performance and necessary upgrades or fixes to the IT network infrastructure, desktop applications, and IT systems
• Review and offer insights on the risk assessment exercises to identify and evaluate IT network infrastructure-related risks and in the development and implementation of related IT network infrastructure policies and procedures

IT Applications

• Lead the identification and delivery of application development projects that address the defined technical and functional specifications, ensuring they are on track from technical delivery, time, quality, and budget perspectives, and the performance of testing and evaluation to the developed business applications
• Oversee management of the ERP system and ensure that it is operating in line with business requirements, providing support to users as needed
• Lead the design, implementation, and management of the IT database infrastructure components, including providing the required support to maintain and ensure the availability, stability, and security of the IT database infrastructure

IT Help Desk

• Ensure provision of timely and effective IT help desk support to all employees

Educational Qualification and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in information systems, Computer Science, or equivalent

Master’s degree is preferred.

• 12 to14 years of experience in IT or a similar field
• At least 5 years of managerial experience
• Strong knowledge of digital/IT trends and leading practices

Fluent in English, Arabic proficiency preferred
