Undertake visual inspections of track assets to identify and report defects that could cause safety incidents (e.g., broken rails, detailed inspection for switches & crossings).
Knowledge of track inspection and maintenance duties to assist Team Leaders and Inspectors in maintenance activities.
Knowledge of preventive, corrective, emergency maintenance, and repair work.
Assist in track condition inspections and repairs required for defects.
Ensure work sites are maintained in a clean and safe condition with minimal environmental impact.
Complete required documentation and data entry accurately.
Experience using hand and powered tools required to maintain tracks.
Trained and competent in track safety inspections including:
Basic Visual Inspections
Switch and Crossing inspections
RCF inspections
Experience identifying and repairing track geometry faults.
Experience installing track components including switches, crossings, defective rails, and ballast renewals/replenishment.
Ability to respond to faults, identify problems, and apply relevant track standards.
Lead teams safely in all aspects of Track Maintenance.
Establish and maintain safety arrangements for staff and contractors.
Minimum Educational Level: Diploma
Major: Mechanical or Civil Engineering Diplomauirement for this role
