Job Title: Senior A/P Accountant

Job Summary
The Senior AP Accountant is responsible for overseeing the full accounts payable cycle, ensuring accurate and timely processing of vendor invoices, payments, reconciliations, and financial reporting. The role supports compliance with company policies, accounting standards, and internal controls while assisting with month-end close and process improvements.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end accounts payable operations.
- Review and verify vendor invoices, purchase orders, and payment requests.
- Ensure timely processing of payments via bank transfer, checks, or other payment methods.
- Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies.
- Maintain accurate AP aging reports and monitor overdue balances.
- Prepare journal entries and support month-end/year-end closing activities.
- Coordinate with procurement and finance teams to ensure proper approvals and documentation.
- Monitor compliance with company policies, tax regulations, and accounting standards.
- Handle accruals and prepaid expense accounting related to AP.
- Support internal and external audits by providing required documentation.
- Improve AP workflows and recommend automation/process enhancements.
- Supervise or mentor junior AP accountants or AP clerks when applicable.
- Assist in cash flow forecasting related to vendor payments.
- Maintain vendor master data and ensure accurate records.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in accounts payable or general accounting.
- Odoo system experience is highly preferred.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- High attention to detail and strong analytical abilities.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage deadlines and work in a fast-paced environment.
