Senior Dry Utilities Engineer
Job Purpose
We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Dry Utilities Engineer with strong expertise in infrastructure design and coordination for large-scale projects within the UAE. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in MV & LV networks, telecom infrastructure, street lighting, security systems, and traffic signal coordination, with strong knowledge of Dubai authority requirements and approval processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design and coordination of Dry Utilities systems for infrastructure and master planning projects.
- Prepare and review MV & LV network designs in compliance with project and authority requirements.
- Coordinate telecom infrastructure layouts including ducts, chambers, and associated systems.
- Design and coordinate street lighting systems, including load schedules and lighting calculations.
- Coordinate security systems infrastructure requirements within multidisciplinary projects.
- Review and coordinate traffic signal systems and associated utility interfaces.
- Liaise with authorities including DEWA and Etihad Water & Electricity (EWE) for approvals and technical submissions.
- Ensure all designs comply with Dubai authority regulations, standards, and design criteria.
- Coordinate with internal disciplines including roads, wet utilities, landscape, and architecture teams.
- Prepare technical reports, utility demand calculations, and authority submission packages.
- Support project delivery timelines and provide technical guidance to junior engineers.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or related Engineering discipline.
- Minimum 10+ years of experience in Dry Utilities design and coordination.
- Strong experience in:
- MV & LV network design and coordination
- Telecom infrastructure
- Street lighting systems
- Security systems
- Traffic signals
- Strong knowledge of Dubai authority regulations and approval procedures.
- Proven experience working on DEWA and Etihad Water & Electricity (EWE) projects.
- Strong understanding of UAE infrastructure design standards and utility coordination.
- Excellent coordination, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred
- UAE project experience is highly preferred.
- Experience on large-scale infrastructure and master planning developments.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and authority stakeholders simultaneously.
