Role Overview
LEODEN MENA is seeking a Senior Communications Manager to lead client relationships, drive strategic communications planning, and manage high-performing teams. This role requires a strong balance between strategic thinking, commercial acumen, and team leadership, with a clear focus on growing client portfolios, leading new business efforts, and delivering best-in-class integrated communications solutions.
Key Responsibilities
1. Team Leadership & Management
* Lead, mentor, and develop a team of communications professionals, ensuring high performance and continuous growth.
* Foster a collaborative, accountable, and solutions-driven team culture.
* Oversee workload distribution, team structure, and resource planning to ensure efficiency and quality output.
2. Client Leadership & Strategic Development
* Act as the primary strategic partner for key clients, building strong, long-term relationships.
* Lead the development of integrated communication strategies aligned with client business objectives.
* Provide senior-level counsel to clients, proactively identifying opportunities and addressing challenges.
3. Planning & Execution Excellence
* Oversee the end-to-end development of communication plans, ensuring clarity, impact, and alignment with KPIs.
* Ensure all deliverables meet high standards in terms of structure, storytelling, and effectiveness.
* Guide teams in simplifying complex ideas into clear, compelling narratives and presentations.
4. Commercial Growth, Upselling & Client Development
* Identify opportunities to grow existing accounts through upselling and cross-selling services.
* Lead the development and expansion of client scopes and annual communication plans.
* Work closely with leadership on revenue targets, forecasting, and business growth strategies.
5. New Business & Pitch Leadership
* Lead and oversee end-to-end pitch processes, from brief analysis to final presentation.
* Develop compelling, insight-driven pitch strategies and narratives.
* Coordinate cross-functional teams to deliver winning proposals that align with client needs and agency strengths.
6. Multinational Standards & Best Practices
* Apply global agency standards, tools, and frameworks to ensure consistency and excellence.
* Bring multinational experience to elevate the quality of work and client servicing.
* Ensure alignment with regional and global processes where applicable.
Requirements
* Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, or a related field (mandatory).
* Minimum 5–6 years of relevant experience in a communications, PR, or account leadership role within an agency environment.
* Proven experience in a multinational agency (mandatory), with exposure to regional or global clients.
* Demonstrated track record in leading teams, managing senior client relationships, and delivering integrated communication strategies.
* Strong experience in new business development and leading successful pitches.
* Proven ability to grow client accounts, including upselling, cross-selling, and expanding scopes of work.
* Excellent strategic thinking and planning capabilities, with the ability to translate business objectives into actionable communication plans.
* Strong presentation and storytelling skills, with high attention to structure, clarity, and impact.
* Ability to manage multiple clients and projects simultaneously in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
* High level of commercial acumen, with understanding of revenue targets, forecasting, and profitability.
* Fluency in English is mandatory; Arabic is a strong advantage.
