FiberX
Job Description
Sales Operations Lead
Location: Baghdad, Iraq (HQ)
Department: Consumer Sales
Reports To: Consumer Sales Director
Direct Reports: Sales Operations Back Office
Role Summary
The Sales Operations Lead is the central coordination function for FiberX’s consumer sales operations across all cities. Based at HQ and reporting to the Consumer Sales Director, this role is responsible for designing, standardizing, and continuously improving the operational processes, tools, and systems that enable city-level sales teams to perform effectively. Beyond internal sales operations, this role serves as the critical bridge between the Consumer Sales function and the warehouse — ensuring that last-mile installation materials such as ONTs, ONUs, drop cables, and related equipment are forecasted, allocated, and available to city teams when and where they are needed. The Sales Operations Lead owns the back-office function and ensures that all operational flows — from subscriber onboarding to material fulfillment — run efficiently and consistently across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
Operations Design & Standardization
• Design, document, and maintain standardized sales operations processes, workflows, and SOPs across all consumer sales channels and cities.
• Identify operational bottlenecks, inefficiencies, or inconsistencies across city teams and implement structured improvements.
• Develop and manage the tools, templates, and systems that field teams use for sales execution, reporting, and customer onboarding.
• Ensure all city-level sales operations are aligned with FiberX’s commercial policies, compliance standards, and service delivery requirements.
Warehouse & Last-Mile Materials Coordination
• Act as the primary liaison between the Consumer Sales function and the warehouse for all last-mile installation materials, including ONTs, ONUs, drop cables, splitters, and related equipment.
• Work with City Sales Managers and city-level Operations Supervisors to forecast material consumption based on subscriber acquisition targets and pipeline data.
• Submit and track material requisitions to the warehouse, ensuring timely allocation and delivery to city teams to avoid installation delays.
• Monitor stock levels per city, flag shortages or surpluses early, and coordinate reallocation between cities where needed.
• Collaborate with the warehouse, procurement, and technical teams to align material availability with sales ramp-up plans, new area launches, and campaign-driven demand spikes.
• Maintain accurate records of material issuance, consumption, and returns across all cities, and report on utilization to the Consumer Sales Director.
Back Office Management
• Directly supervise the Sales Operations Back Office team, ensuring timely and accurate processing of subscriber onboarding, contract management, and order fulfillment tasks.
• Oversee the quality and completeness of sales documentation submitted by field teams across all cities.
• Manage escalations from the back office related to processing issues, system errors, or data discrepancies, and coordinate resolution with relevant departments.
• Define and monitor back-office KPIs including processing turnaround time, error rates, and SLA adherence.
Cross-City Coordination
• Serve as the operational liaison between the Consumer Sales Director and city-level Consumer Sales Operations Supervisors.
• Conduct regular operational reviews with city teams to assess process adherence and identify support needs.
• Roll out new operational initiatives, system changes, or process updates across all city teams and ensure smooth adoption.
• Coordinate with IT, Finance, Technical, and Customer Care teams to resolve systemic operational issues affecting the sales function.
Planning & Reporting Support
• Support the Consumer Sales Director in operational planning, capacity assessments, and resource allocation across cities.
• Track and report on operational metrics, back-office performance, and material utilization to the Consumer Sales Director on a regular basis.
• Contribute to the development of sales operations strategies aligned with FiberX’s growth targets.
Requirements
Education
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, Supply Chain, or a related field.
Experience
• Minimum 5–6 years of experience in sales operations, business operations, or a similar function.
• Proven experience designing or improving operational processes in a multi-location or field-based environment.
• Experience coordinating between sales and supply chain, warehouse, or logistics functions is strongly preferred.
• Prior experience managing a back-office or operations support team is required.
• Experience in the telecom, ISP, or technology sector is strongly preferred.
Skills & Competencies
• Strong process-oriented mindset with the ability to design clear, scalable operational frameworks.
• Solid understanding of last-mile telecom infrastructure and installation materials is an advantage.
• Excellent organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple workstreams simultaneously.
• High proficiency in operations tools, CRM/ERP systems, and Microsoft Office / Google Workspace.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify operational issues from data and reporting.
• Excellent communication and coordination skills — comfortable working across sales, technical, and warehouse teams.
• Detail-oriented with a strong commitment to process accuracy, material accountability, and data quality.
