A Sales Engineer is responsible for identifying business opportunities, understanding client technical requirements, and offering suitable engineering solutions that meet customer needs while achieving company sales targets.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and develop new clients and projects in the market
- Promote company products (e.g., steel, aluminum, stainless steel, WPC doors)
- Study project drawings, specifications, and BOQs
- Prepare technical and commercial proposals
- Coordinate with engineering, production, and procurement teams
- Attend client meetings, site visits, and technical discussions
- Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms with clients
- Follow up on quotations, approvals, and payments
- Achieve monthly and annual sales targets
- Maintain strong relationships with consultants, contractors, and clients
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in architect or Civil Engineering
- 2–5+ years of experience in sales (preferably in construction or industrial sectors)
- Strong technical understanding of products and systems
- Good communication and negotiation skills
- Ability to read drawings and technical documents
